Select Board <br /> August 25,2025 <br /> Minutes <br /> Review of Recommendation for Appointment as an Associate Member of the Zoning <br /> Board of Appeals-Michael Morizio (Term to Expire June 30,2029) <br /> Michael Morizio appeared before the board to be considered for appointment as an <br /> Associate Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. He stated that the role aligns well with <br /> his professionalbackground and experience and expressed a strong interest in contributing <br /> to the community. Morizio has been a resident of Mashpee since 2018 and sees this <br /> appointment as a meaningful opportunity to give back. He also confirmed there are no <br /> conflicts of interest that would impact his abilityto serve in this capacity. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to appoint Michael Morizio as an Associate Member <br /> of the Zoning Board. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br /> Roll Call Vote <br /> Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br /> Selectman Weeden-yes <br /> Selectman Cotton-yes <br /> Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ANY ITEM NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> (This space is reserved for topics that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate would be <br /> discussed) <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson reported that at the recent School Committee meeting, there <br /> was a positive and energetic atmosphere. The district is preparing forthe upcoming school <br /> year starting Wednesday, with approximateLy30 new hires joiningthe team.The schools are <br /> equipped with great spaces, and there is an optimistic outlook as everyone gears up for a <br /> successful academicyear ahead. <br /> Selectman Cotton reported that the Barnstable Town Council recently voted 7-5 to engage <br /> MassDevelopment in conducting a feasibility study to consider relocating the airport from <br /> 15 <br />
