Select Board <br /> August 25,2025 <br /> Minutes <br /> Hyannis to the Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC). The council advised MassDevelopment to <br /> proceed with this study. Selectman Weeden expressed support for the Board taking an <br /> official position by drafting a joint municipal letter of disapproval—signed by Mashpee, <br /> Falmouth, and Sandwich, the three communities most directly impacted by the proposed <br /> airport relocation. <br /> WATER QUALITY UPDATES <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> An update was provided concerning 0 Gunters Lane,including a full copy of the legalopinion <br /> related to the property. <br /> The County is exploring support options for implementing a real estate transfer fee on high- <br /> value properties. The town is reviewing this as part of its affordable housing efforts. A joint <br /> meeting between the Select Board and Affordable Housing Committee is scheduled for <br /> September 15 to discuss further. <br /> It was noted that cybersecurity is an increasinglycritical issue,with several recent incidents <br /> highlightingvuln era bilities.
