,yrxrasr.a
Town of Mashpee Community Preservation Commission
" 16 Great Neck Road North
z Mashpee, MA 02649
Conflict of Interest and Training Requirements
The committee briefly reviewed compliance requirements. Members who had received an email about
the conflict-of-interest training were required to complete it, but those who had not received the email
would eventually be contacted by the state. The training is required every two years and includes an
online test.
In addition, members must acknowledge receipt of the Open Meeting Law summary annually. This
requirement does not involve a test, only a signed acknowledgment.
Fire Safety at Housing Facilities
Ms. Barbee reported on follow-up after the recent fatal fire at an assisted living facility in Fall River.
Mashpee's fire department had met with residents at Asher's Path and conducted a walkthrough at the
Hohmeyer property, which is an older facility without sprinklers. The Fire Chief planned to prepare a
report. While concerns remained about fire safety, members were reassured that the issue was being
taken seriously.
MOTION: To adjourn.
Motion by: Brian Hyde Seconded by: Mary Waygan
Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm after addressing all agenda items and updating on ongoing tasks.
Next meeting is September 16, 2025, (Public Hearing) at 6:30pm.
Respectfully submitted,
5w—5W-4—
Gina Gonsalves
Board Secretary
