Mr. Hyde was also assigned to the Historic Cemeteries project, which had recently received a second allocation of funds, as well as the War Memorial Monument. For other projects: Heritage Park Upgrades (replacement of the concession shed)remained under Recreation Director oversight, though the committee noted the need for clearer communication and financial tracking. • Ashumet Pond Restoration was confirmed as Mr. Schmuhl's responsibility. • Open Space and Recreation was assigned to Ms. Waygan and Ms. MacDougall. 475 Nathan Ellis Highway was assigned to Ms. Barbee. Boys and Girls Club Basketball Courts had been postponed due to summer programming but were now visibly under construction, as Chair Russell reported seeing from social media updates.A longtime volunteer had surprised the Boys and Girls Club with a $2 million gift, allowing them to move forward on a major expansion. • LeClair Playground was also under review. • War Monument was assigned to Ms. Wyman-Colombo • Choppee Storage Barn was assigned to Mr. Klein, who reported that the project was still in negotiation with engineers. Mashpee Wakeby Boat Ramp Stormwater Project was taken by Ms. Waygan, noting that Ms. Laurent was coordinating that effort, with some state involvement and additional funding still uncertain. The Chair confirmed she would update the liaison list with these assignments and distribute it to all members. Housing Production Plan (HPP) Completion The committee discussed the status of the Housing Production Plan (HPP), which had been certified by the state. It was indicated that while the plan itself was complete, it was believed funds could not be fully closed out until town meeting formally acknowledged it. It was clarified that the state had already accepted the plan, and the final work—completed by Barrett Planning through the county's regional shared housing office—was likely already paid for.
