Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Meeting Minutes of the Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> Thursday, September 18, 2025; 2:00 PM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall - Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> *In-person and televised meeting* <br /> Present: Chair, Meredith Harris; Vice Chair, Alfred Towle; Commissioners Joseph Lyons, Mohan Nair, and <br /> Cody Erickson; Wastewater Superintendent,Jared Meader; and Ashley Fisher, Water Quality <br /> Coordinator <br /> Chair Meredith Harris called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. in open session. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> Chair Harris requested a moment of silence. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Chair Harris requested a review of August 21, 2025, meeting minutes and any changes or comments to <br /> them. <br /> MOTION:To accept August 21,2025, minutes. <br /> Motion by:Joseph Lyons Seconded by: Mohan Nair <br /> Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br /> Chair Harris requested a review of July 31, 2025, Special meeting minutes and any changes or comments <br /> to them. <br /> MOTION:To accept Special Meeting minutes of July 31, 2025. <br /> Motion by: Cody Erickson Seconded by:Joseph Lyons <br /> Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Susan Dangel, 762 Cotuit Road, President of the Save Mashpee-Wakeby Pond Alliance <br /> Ms. Dangel praised the recent informational Mashpee-Wakeby Cluster System Workshop, describing it <br /> as the best meeting she had attended in five years. She highlighted the collaborative spirit among <br /> residents, staff, and decision-makers, noting that the dialogue allowed meaningful questions and <br /> answers. However, she expressed concern about misleading information circulating in the Gunther's <br /> Lane neighborhood via flyers containing factual inaccuracies. Ms. Dangel also noted that members of <br /> the Planning Board had made incorrect statements at their recent meeting. She urged that these <br /> inaccuracies be corrected at the next Sewer Commission meeting so that residents receive accurate <br /> information directly from knowledgeable sources, emphasizing the importance of open,transparent <br /> communication to prevent confusion. <br /> Greg McKelvey, 11 Menemsha Road, resident of Mashpee and member of the Finance Committee <br /> Mr. McKelvey spoke as a private citizen and echoed Ms. Dangel's praise for the September 11, 2025, <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby Cluster System Informational Workshop, noting its thoroughness in addressing <br /> residents' questions. He stressed the importance of seeking information from experts such as Ms. <br /> Fisher, Mr. Meader, and their office staff. Mr. McKelvey urged residents to attend the remaining <br /> informational sessions, emphasizing the significance of the 0 Gunter's Lane project for the Town's <br /> wastewater solution. He voiced concern that failure to approve the project could jeopardize existing 0% <br />
