IMP. IMBO
d"fr,,{ynr,fw VhP.
w Mashpee lncCusion and-Diversity Committee
16 Great Weck RoadWorth
'Alashyee, AMA 02649
legal counsel for guidance on this partnership. He noted state agencies such as the Ethics
Commission and Office of Campaign and Political Finance, for advisory use of public
resources and committee member activity. He suggests the Committee maintain strict
separations from this group and all committee functions or affiliations. Lastly, he felt strongly
about the merchandise they sell on their site, namely pins, mostly vulgar, one depicted a
middle finger, another says "86 47", another says "is he dead yet?"
OLD BUSINESS
Brochure
The Chairwill follow up with the students next meeting.
Column
Ms. Stevenson wrote a column on ageism and would like the students to write Part Two on
Ageism from their perspective. Max Nash will begin working on that with the other students,
with oversight from Mr. Zefzaf.
Survey
Mr. Kupferman sent the survey electronically to members for comments, with incorporated
changes, and he presented the final draft for approval.
MOTION:
Richard Klein made a motion to approve the final draft of the survey in
preparation to launch to the community soon. Seconded by Winnie Johnson-
Graham.
Winnie Johnson-Graham stated Survey Monkey would reach a broader range across the
Town, and she would also like to add the survey link to the MIDC landing page on the Town
website, as well as at the bottom of the newspaper column, a link or QR code to the survey.
It was stated paper copies could be left at the Senior Cener or various places around Town.
Mr. Klein suggested handing them out at Town Meeting. Mohamad Fand would like to keep the
survey fully digital, as it will allow for better tracking of data all in one space. For example,
there are three local Mashpee groups on Facebook, they could start there. Ms. Johnson-
Graham is considering the elderly population who don't access the computer too well or often.
Mr. Kupferman thinks all those ideas are valuable and there is no reason not to try it all. He
would like to get in touch with someone from the town to help. Mr. Klein will follow up with this.
Kim Landry inquired about the deadline for people once it is distributed.
Committee's Role with Political Movements Cont.
2
