Wyman-Colombo at 6:00 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />Opening <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />PUBLIC COMMENT FOR CURRENT AGENDA ITEMS <br />Colton Atkinson talked about the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan and emphasized a <br />proposal to add bike lanes and sidewalks along Mashpee, aiming to connect the <br />Popponesset neighborhood to the Town Center. The project would improve walkability <br />and bike access for residents currently without safe routes. Atkinson proposed funding <br />the project through a Proposition 2½ override in May. Atkinson noted strong community <br />support, with 80–90% of residents in favor of adding sidewalks. He recommended giving <br />residents the opportunity to vote on the project at Town Meeting. <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br /> Review of Recommendation for Extension of IMA for the Upper Cape Regional <br />Transfer Station. <br />DPW Director Catherine Laurent provided an update on the Inter-Municipal Agreement <br />(IMA) for the Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station, which is jointly owned by the towns <br />of Falmouth, Sandwich, and Mashpee, and located at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC). <br />The current IMA is set to expire at the end of the fiscal year. The towns are in the <br />process of issuing an RFP for a new long-term lease, with the goal of extending the IMA <br />through 2043, the maximum allowable term. The facility has been an important hub for <br />transporting municipal solid waste, particularly as landfill closures increase across the <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
