(Representative: Braman Surveying) 43-
981
The project, originally permitted in the mid-1990s (circa 1994-1995), authorized the construction of a timber
pier, gangway, and float, as well as vista pruning.
Dock was built in full compliance with the original order of conditions, and a recent site inspection
confirmed that the structure remains unchanged and well maintained. The as-built plan, dated 2022, verified
that the pier and float conform to the permitted design. While the permit included provisions for vista pruning,
there is no indication that any pruning was conducted vegetation on-site remains dense and undisturbed,
eliminating any concerns about vegetation management or unauthorized alteration.
Ms. Thornburg raised questions about conditions in the original order, noting that it required written
notification to the Commission before mooring any new boats at the dock, so the Commission could review
vessel size, draft, and propulsion depth. Staff clarified that this condition was likely not included in the original
1990s permit and that the current dock setup complies with all existing authorizations. Additionally, the five-
foot public access clearance along the shore, required by the permit, is still being maintained.
MOTION: To approve the COC for III Waterline Drive South.
Motion by: Sarah Thornbrugh Seconded by: Sandi Godfrey
Vote: Motion passed by unanimous vote.
(Steven Cook, Sarah Thornbrugh, Paul Colombo, Sandi Godfrey,
Seana Pitt, Richard Sahl)
12
