2 <br /> <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes <br />September 19, 2024 <br /> <br />Present: Arden Russell, Richard Klein, Brian Hyde, Mary Waygan, Lynne Barbee, <br /> Michaela Wyman-Colombo, Sandi Godfrey, Judy MacDougall, Ed Schmuhl <br /> <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Russell at 6:31 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Matthew Haney; Gooseberry Island Trustee informed the CPC it was the decision of the Select <br />Board to not to place the Acquisition of Gooseberry Island article on the Town Meeting warrant. <br />Mr. Haney indicated the Town bylaw requires that a sum, a dollar amount be included on the <br />warrant prior to posting. It is felt this was a technical issue which may have prompted the Select <br />Board to not include the article on the October warrant. Mr. Haney indicated that he is <br />disappointed as he does not feel the Select Board are interested buyers. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Thursday, August 15, 2024 Regular & Executive Sessions: <br />The minutes were amended on page 4 to add the word discussion in the first paragraph to read: A <br />brief discussion followed. <br /> <br />Motion made by Ms. Waygan to approve the Regular and Executive Session Minutes of <br />Thursday; September 19, 2024 as amended. <br />Motion seconded by Ms. Wyman-Colombo. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 9-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Ms. Russell, yes Mr. Klein, yes Mr. Hyde, yes Ms. Waygan, yes <br />Ms. Barbee, yes Ms. Wyman-Colombo, yes Ms. Godfrey, yes <br />Ms. MacDougall, yes Mr. Schmuhl, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Annual Public Hearing on the Needs, Possibilities and Resources of the Town of Mashpee as <br />they relate to Historic Preservation, Recreation, Affordable Housing and Open Space; <br />Information for the funding of projects at the May 2025 Town Meeting: <br /> <br />The Community Preservation Committee opened the Public Hearing to conduct a public <br />informational meeting as directed by the bylaw on the needs, possibilities, and resources of the <br />Town as they relate to historic preservation, recreation, affordable housing, and open space. <br /> <br />In accord with posting requirements, the Hearing notice was read aloud into the record. <br /> <br /> <br />
