S. Review of request of variances to title 5 and local regulations — 8 Taffrail Way, Peter
McEntee
A new system is being proposed to replace the failed septic system. Upgrading the system
with anew septic tank, IA system with pump chamber into anew leaching field. Asking
for 5 variances.
Mr. Seabury stated that the big thing on this is the 25% reduction on the size of the
leaching field and separation of ground water. The sledge hammer does have an approval
from the state to do a 2' separation reduction. It can go from 5' to 3' and 4' to 2'
depending on the soil. The soil is a less than 2 minutes per inch so they could reasonably
go to a 3' separation if they needed to but 4' is fine with this system. The 25% reduction,
if it was any more than that, I would have to revisit it and look more at the approvals. But,
I don't see an issue with that and the separation of the ground water. I know that some
systems do not allow a size of the field reduction with a separation of ground water, this
is not one of those systems.
There being no further comment or discussion, John Livingston motioned to approve the
variances for 80 Summersea Road, Dennis Ring seconded. Unanimously approved (3-0)
6. Discussion of Aimendnient to proposed airriendryierit to Noise By-Law Chapter 120-1
Mr. Seabury stated lie went before the Select Board and the Finance Board and they all
asked to make the personal property end at 813M.
There being no further comment or discussion, Dennis Ring motioned to amend the
proposed Noise By-Law, Section D, to allow use on personal property from 7AM to 8PM
Ernest Virgilio seconded. Not unanimously approved (2-1)
Mr. Livingston wanted it to go on the record that he doesn't agree with 8PM.
5.10 Mr. Livingston, made a motion to adjourn the meeting, which Mr. Ring seconded
Motion passed unanimously
ct ully Submitted
Res?
G/
a ricia Papalia
Town of Masee Scanning Clerk
