The Town Planner requested this to be on the agenda. He <br /> would like to apply for the funding of a feasibility study for the lot near Town Hall for affordable <br /> housing. It is +/- 11 acres with multiple parcels. There could be options for single family 100% <br /> affordable with 100% ownership models or other multifamily models. This funding is state <br /> funding that was received from the county, with $192,000 available in total. The Commission is <br /> receiving applications from towns, and he is requesting the Board make a unanimous vote to <br /> support this application. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Ms. Waygan made a motion to support this application and authorize the Town <br /> Planner to apply for a feasibility study at 0 Meetinghouse Road for a 100% <br /> affordable housing project. Seconded by Mr. Oakley. All in favor. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Balzarini: Yes, Ms. Faulkner: Yes, Mr. Oakley: Yes, Ms. Waygan: Yes, Mr. <br /> Milbury: Yes <br /> Mr. Balzarini would like to see something done with the cloudy title issues at 108 Commercial <br /> Street. Trader Joes could change their location to industrial. <br /> CHAIRS REPORT <br /> Ms. Waygan sent the LCP chapter on Cultural Heritage and Preservation to Ava Costello and <br /> Richard DeSorgher for detailed comments. <br /> TOWN PLANNER REPORT <br /> Osprey Court Update <br /> The Conservation Restriction has gone to the state. This can take up to a year. The first <br /> foundation is in. <br /> Affordable Housing Committee & Affordable Housing Trust Update <br /> Mr. Tobin has been working with the Chair of the AHC to put together an educational program <br /> in the form of a speaker series for the Committee. Barret Planning Group will start off with <br /> general 4013's. He has received confirmation from county officials, local affordable agencies, <br /> and the final speaker will be Habitat for Humanity. <br /> Other Miscellaneous Items <br /> 8 <br />
