of TMs s,s
z.
AU1MLIUVy
own qf MaS 2 Panning Board
c
16 Great Weck, RoadWorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
as well. If granted both those changes will need to be reflected in the decision, and both
updated in the revised plans.
The Town Planner noted the playground is staying but the sandbox is being pulled.
Mr. Crispin added in his experience, when paving transitions to hard pack, it would cause
erosion and sediment issue, that would be solved by paving.
Mr. Tobin asked about Island Pickle's emergency use only access, the hollowed stone with
planted seeded clover to grow over, effectively looking like grass, but travelable by vehicle.
From an engineering perspective, what are the thoughts for that being used in this remainder
or the entire way?
Mr. Crispin stated they should just ask the Fire Chief what he really wants. He was given
turning radius' that showed he could drive and do a three-point turn, and saved a bunch of
pavement, he thought it was all set. Seeing as there are issues, he will talk with the Fire Chief
directly.
Mr. Tobin was inquiring about that method. He doesn't know if one reason is because that way
is being blocked off, minimally traveled in emergencies. Would it only work in the path to tennis
court verses cul-de-sac?
Ms. Christy answered the term is a grass paver, it has been used many times for a ladder truck
to be able to access around the corner of a building. We use it in areas of limited access. In
this case, residents or people who make wrong turns, it would be often drivable if we don't
establish that restriction. It's stormwater technology that models as grass, and certainly not a
cheap option. Having that conversation with the Fire Department is the best approach. Paving
is still more expensive.
Mr. Milbury asked about an HOA, if they have their own orjoin a neighboring HOA. It's
intended to be its own at this point. Ms. Wagan would like a friendly, acceptable condition
noting the HOA in place.
Ms. Faulkner mentioned projected connections and went through those with the applicant.
Does the facility have capacity to accept 5 new homes?
Ms. Joyce explained yes, there is added capacity available. The home at 14 Azelia will close in
2026 and connect to sewer and Daniels Island Road will connect to sewer in 2026.
Mr. Milbury commented on the entryway into the parking lot for overflow parking beside the
tennis courts. Turning down Topspin Way and in will minimize traffic congestion beginning at
13
