Mr. Oakley will not be
available that additional Saturday.
Mr. Hansen commented the Sustainability chapter is next, he went through and there are
comments that are 15 years old. For example, we are a green town by Massachusetts
standards, which has conservation guidelines and purchasing a fleet of EV powered cars for
four staff as actions. Do we have more electric vehicles now? He has 5 items that require
updates, like moving the bog house or low-lying offices. Some items have been addressed.
Mr. Tobin asked members to highlight the outdated materials and table for the consultant if a
source is referenced, or discuss with the Board as to best approach.
Ms. Waygan noted this chapter being especially thin, so she started to search online for
master plans and sustainability. Some smaller towns have good concepts; we can look at other
planning efforts. We are also an MVP (Municipal Vulnerability Program) community, and we
can reference the Woods Hole Group's report.
15
