FINCOM
Meeting Minutes
November 20,2025

Motion made by Richard Weiner to approve the DPW request of $27,845.00 to pay Licensed
Site Professional services and cleanup for diesel spill.

Motion seconded by Greg McKelvey
Motion passes 6-0
ROLL CALL VOTE
Je?rey Pettengill, yes; Greg McKelvey, yes; Richard Weiner, yes; Anne Schnader, yes;
Darlene Furbush, yes; Keith Machado, yes.
DNR requests $1,585.96 to cover an unanticipated overage in regards to the purchase of a
new utility/plow truck.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is requesting $1,585.96 to cover
unanticipated overage associated with the purchase of a new utility/plow truck for the
department. This vehicle was approved as a CIP purchase for the current year. The overage
resulted from a miscommunication between the Town and the dealership; the issue did not
originate with DNR sta?.
The additional funding will cover the remaining cost of the truck and attached snowplow.
Although the vehicle will be assigned to the DNR Director/Harbormaster, it will also support
the Department of Public Works (DPW) during major snowstorms. In recent years, it has
become increasingly di?icult to hire contracted plow drivers due to insurance
requirements, limited snowfall, and rising operational costs. As a result, the Town has had
to rely more heavily on existing sta? with the proper qualifications and experience to
operate plow equipment.
This truck, will be used in the New Seabury area, where delays have already been
experienced in clearing some routes. Even with approval of this funding, residents should
expect that plowing delays may continue throughout the Cape due to workforce shortages
and the decline in available contractors.
Motion made by Greg McKelvey to approve the DNR request of $1,585.96 to cover an
unanticipated overage in regard to the purchase of a new utility/plow truck.
Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush.
Motion passes 6-0
ROLL CALL VOTE
4
