Like other organizations across the Cape, transportation is a major issue for SLS. They are
considering purchasing a van and hiring a driver to address that issue but it will be fund
dependent.
Credible Minds Launch
Gail Wilson brought the Committee up to date on the launch of the Credible Minds website on
10/31/25. She noted that it is going to take time for residents to learn about its availability and
suggestions were made about the many ways that this tool can be promoted throughout the
town. Mashpee schools are now evaluating the website to determine if this would be a valuable
asset to students.
Director's Report
Gail reminded the committee that the Opioid Abatement Funding Reports are due to her by
12/01/25. The Committee will need to review those reports and vote on approvals for the next
round of funding at the next meeting. It is important that all committee members attend that
meeting.
Funding for sober homes will be a discussion topic at a future meeting, as well. Many people
are struggling to pay rent and there is very limited availability of assistance. Residents in sober
homes may be working part time which adds to the need for assistance. Scholarships are
available for a limited amount of time.
ADDITIONAL TOPICS
Mary Bradbury was pleased to report that they have been prepping for the "Fill the Van"
community event on November 21, 2025. The community has been very generous with
donations of food and household goods.
NEXT MEETING SCHEDULE
Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:OOAM by Zoom
ADJOURNMENT
12:OOPM motion to adjourn made by Karen Yetra, second by Heidi McLaughlin, unanimous
