Reestablish the Land Steward
Program, to protect Ancient Ways and trails on open space. When that program dissolved, it
was not passed on, and we started to see a lot of dumping on trails. When people know trails
are traveled, they don't risk being seen dumping. The least expensive way to deal with this is
to put up gates, thus preventing access for our indigenous people into those Ancient Ways.
Mr. Oakley added that the stewardship program should also coordinate with the Tribe.
Similarly, Ms. Waygan added to put with responsibility the word partner.
The Tribe could partner on OS4, OS5, OS15, OS17, OS18, OS21, OS2413, and OS24C.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES — December 17, 2025
Ms. Faulkner provided a correction on page 3 to read 13,229s.f. as well as the bottom of page
5, add approval or permit to the last sentence.
