Mashpee Wakeby Lake Management Committee-Regular Session
October 28,2025

The committee reviewed the Harbormaster’s Report, noting that the department
maintained boater safety throughout the peak season through coordination with partner
agencies, a consistent on-water presence, and response to a high volume of reported
incidents. Members agreed the report could be further condensed for communication to
lake residents and observed that increased patrol activity was noticeable on the lake.
The committee discussed ongoing concerns regarding jet ski activity, including wake zone
compliance, camping, and trash left on Ryder Island. While the presence of two patrol
boats appeared to slow activity in designated areas, members noted that overall usage
levels had not decreased. It was stated that regulation would require coordination with
multiple jurisdictions, including Sandwich, and may also involve state oversight due to the
size of the lake.
UANTICIPATED BUSINESS
N/A
NEXT MEETING
January 27,2026
ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Deborah McManus at 7:28 p.m.
Motion seconded by Allison Berhardt.
Motion passed unanimously.

Respectfully submitted,

Lashelle Mathis
Board Secretary

3
