<br />Select Board <br />November 3,2025 <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson noted The Chamber is planning the annual holiday parade and <br />is seeking volunteers and sponsorships. <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson noted the Mashpee Public Schools are engaging in a mission <br />and vision planning process under the direction of the new administration and recent hires. <br />A focus group was held last week to allow families to participate and provide input in the <br />planning process. <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson reported on the Town of Mashpee’s new behavioral health <br />portal. Residents are encouraged to create an account by November 30, with a chance to <br />win a $100 gift card through a lottery. The portal provides access to multiple toolkits and <br />resources to support mental health in the community. <br />WATER QUALITY UPDATES <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />Town Manager Rodney Collins discussed the luxury transfer tax, with Collins noting that <br />locally no more than 10% of funds would be retained for administrative costs, a minimum <br />threshold of $1 million would apply, and rates of 0.5% and 4% were under consideration. <br />Chair Wyman-Colombo stated the luxury transfer tax is on the Board of Assembly agenda <br />for Wednesday evening, where a possible vote may occur; comments should be sent to the <br />Assembly delegate before then. <br />Selectman Weeden noted The Charter Review Committee concluded its business and will <br />submit a final report, with an article planned for a May vote. <br />Selectman Weeden raised questions regarding the issues and actions discussed during the <br />joint A?ordable Housing Committee and Select Board meeting. Collins noted that he <br />needs to return a call to Michael Sparks, who has additional information to provide. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to enter executive session at 7:23 p.m and to not <br />reconvene in Open Session. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. <br />Chair Wyman-Colombo declared an open meeting may have a detrimental e?ect on the <br />litigating position of the public body. <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
