Select Board
November 3,2025
Minutes

Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes
Selectman Richardson- yes
PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ANY ITEM NOT ON THE AGENDA
Terry Ronhock, 104 Degrass Road, thanked the Town for its ongoing e?orts to support the
community during challenging times. She raised concerns regarding the Mashpee National
Resource Department, specifically the use of taxpayer funds and oversight of department
activities. Ronhock referenced a recent incident in Woods Hole involving a sailboat fire and
questioned why Mashpee rescue personnel were involved in towing personal watercraft
that had no occupants. She also asked whether the previously approved condo units for
the Department of Natural Resources on Red Brook Road, intended to store watercraft, are
still necessary.
Lynne Barbee, Chair of the Human Services Committee, expressed appreciation to Frank
Fantasia and the Christ the King Food Pantry team for their continued e?orts to support
residents. She highlighted a new mental health online resource program initiated by the
Human Services Committee and the Board of Health, with information available on the
Human Services website and social media. She encouraged residents to access these
resources.
Frank Fantasia, 9 Fairway Knob, along with George Gilmore, Pantry Manager provided an
update on the Christ the King Food Pantry operations. Fantasia noted that the pantry
recently served 160 families in one morning, reflecting a 30 percent increase in demand.
He emphasized that despite the busy holiday season and potential government-related
disruptions, the pantry has su?icient food supplies and contingency plans, including
sourcing from alternative suppliers and using gift cards for local supermarkets. He stressed
that gift card donations, in $25 increments, help ensure families receive needed items even
if specific food items are unavailable. Fantasia also highlighted coordination with the
Mashpee Chamber of Commerce and the broader community to support pantry
operations. He concluded by a?irming that no one will go hungry under his oversight and
encouraged ongoing community support through donations and volunteer e?orts.
ADDITIONAL TOPICS
(This space is reserved for topics that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate would be
discussed)
LIAISON REPORTS
9
