<br />Select Board <br />November 3,2025 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Tax Classification Hearing – Joseph Gibbons, Assessor <br />Under Chapter 40, Section 56, as amended by Chapter 369 of the Acts of 1982 and Chapter <br />79 of the Acts of 1983, the Mashpee Select Board will conduct a public hearing on whether <br />the Town of Mashpee should implement the Classification Act. Assessor Joseph Gibbons <br />presented the FY 2026 Tax Classification Hearing; however, due to a lack of necessary data, <br />he recommended that the hearing be postponed. Town Manager Rodney Collins also <br />suggested a continuance. During public comments, Mashpee resident Mary Waygan asked <br />if comments could be made at a later time, and Chair Michaela A. Wyman-Colombo <br />confirmed that public comments could be reserved until the continued hearing. Selectman <br />Cotton recommended postponing the FY 2026 Tax Classification Hearing to the next <br />Selectboard meeting on November 17, 2025, at 6:05 p.m., to which there was a general <br />consensus among the Board. <br />Pole Hearing: Petition #1A7KPG4M, dated September 16, 2025, Quaker Run Road, <br />Verizon New England and NSTAR Electric Company dba Eversource Energy – Robin Latour, <br />NB&C (Caller) <br />The Town of Mashpee Select Board will conduct a pole hearing on Petition/WO <br />#1A7KPG4M, dated September 16,2025, from Verizon New England and NSTAR Electric <br />Company dba Eversource Energy to install 1 new utility pole numbered P5A approximately <br />35’ west of pole P5 on Quaker Run Road near the address of 31 Quaker Run Road. This pole <br />is necessary to continue to support permanent power at the request of the resident located <br />at 31 Quaker Run Road.
