Select Board
December 8,2025
Minutes

The Select Board was informed of a stormwater improvement project planned for the parking
lot at the boat ramp, to be undertaken in partnership with the APCC and the state. The project
is supported by a $250,000 grant, along with $350,000 approved at Town Meeting through
the Community Preservation Act. In addition, the APCC has committed to providing private
funding of up to $265,000, and the state has committed funding of up to $400,000. The
project is currently out to bid, and with the state’s funding commitment in place, the Town
will oversee the implementation and management of the project.
Motion made by Selectman Richardson to approve the proposed contract with MA
O?ice of Fishing & Boating Access for the stormwater retrofit project at Mashpee-
Wakeby boat ramp.
Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden.
Vote: 5-0 Unanimous
Roll Call Vote
Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes
Selectman Weeden-yes
Selectman Cotton-yes
Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes
Selectman Richardson- yes

Presentation of Proposed Stormwater Improvements to Attaquin Park
DPW Director Catherine Laurent explained that the project was identified through the Town’s
Stormwater Asset Management Plan. The project aligns with the Town’s ongoing wastewater
improvements planned as part of Phase II, making this a logical continuation of existing
infrastructure e?orts.

The proposed design includes stormwater treatment through infiltration basins and
bioretention areas beneath and adjacent to the existing asphalt, with overflow directed to
9
