IMP. IMBO
d"fr,,{ynr,fw VhP.
w Mashpee lncCusion and'Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck Road -Vort(-
MasGtpee, M-A 02649
Brochure
Richard Klein noted when the pamphlet is folded, it cuts off phone numbers. Additional sizing
and formatting needs to be done before the final version can go to the printers.
The Director of the Chamber recommended a cheaper alternative for printing. Mr. Klein also
discussed purchasing plastic holders for the pamphlets to be displayed.
Survey
Dan Kupferman picked up the returned surveys from the Senior Center. The Town Meeting
resulted in 120 completed surveys. The Chair contacted New Seabury and Southport, as they
have a government relations personnel, and they asked for the link.
Kim Landry added the Tribal Center to her list of potential contacts. Mr. Klein offered to deliver
copies and a drop box to the Tribal Center.
Once all the results are in, this will help guide us to our purpose and present needs versus the
needs when we first started.
Race Amity Day Expansion
Chair Stevenson wrote a grant to the Mashpee Cultural Council, trying to expand Race Amity
Day in some way. The Committee wants to have a lot more emphasis on food, as we know that
is what brings people in. The pizza was a lot of work. She is going to contact Family Table
Collaborative. This would be Race Amity Day with an international perspective, beyond
borders. They would involve the Tribe and their cultural food.
Mr. Klein noted Fresh Roll may be able to help, as they have in years past. Dinos donated
pizza last year, this year they could donate pasta. The Chair acknowledged these ideas, but in
theory would like to have a grant be able to pay someone to do it all for us. Mr. Klein also
suggested the CPC.
The Chair spoke with the music teacher when she attended a performance at the High School,
and she will speak to the jazz students about some performers for Race Amity Day. Separately,
Ms. Stevenson was volunteering at the school helping with mock interviews, and a student
who teaches at Harper Dance Center said she could maybe find a dancer to perform as well.
Human Rights Academy
Chair Stevenson sat in on their last Zoom meeting. They want the schools to get involved with
adding more affirmations around the school.
2
