IMP. IMBO
d"fr,,{ynr,fw VhP.
w Mashpee lncCusion and'Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck Road -Vort(-
MasGtpee, M-A 02649
Ms. Stevenson asked the student representatives to tackle the next column, part two for
ageism, from the perspective of a young person. Max Nash sent the first draft to be reviewed
by Mohamad Zefzaf and the Chair. Mr. Zefzaf will help the students with editing.
Wampanoag and Select Board member Tracy Wilson will write a column for November on the
Indigenous Tribe, and Wendy Bernstein will write December's column from a Jewish
perspective on Christmas and Hanukkah.
Brochure
The brochure is finalized, and the next step is printing. As we cannot utilize the school's
resources this round, the Chair turned to Lujean Printing Company, who quoted $300 for 500
copies on gloss paper. Mr. Kupferman will investigate a cheaper option, if possible.
MOTION:
Trish Hill made a motion to allot up to $300 towards printing the brochure.
Seconded by Mohamad Zefzaf. All in favor.
Survey
There was great success last evening with Town Meeting, 120 surveys have been returned,
and there were some who took it with them to finish at home. There is a box at the Town Hall
that will remain until the end of the month or longer for the collection of surveys.
Mr. Zefzaf inquired as to who would be analyzing the data of the responses. There should be a
summary of what we learned and what we plan to do with this data.
Mr. Kupferman is willing to start processing the results, but he would like to discuss distributing
the survey more.
Max Nash wanted to offer the survey to the teachers at school. Ms. Stevenson would love that
and mentioned how the connection with the school has faded out over the last year. She will
reach out to Celeste Reynolds, the new Advisor of the Human Rights Club. On another note,
she will follow up with the Town Manager's Office, as she would like to distribute the survey to
all Boards and Committees as well.
Ms. Hill stated she will take a copy of the survey and distribute it through the Superintendent's
Office as well as through the School Committee, so it can be vetted prior to release.
2
