More hard copies should be left at the Senior Center and the Mashpee Public Library.
Max added having the QR code visible at the Boys and Girls Club.
Ms. Steveson referenced Survey Monkey, but Mr. Kupferman stated this survey is too
comprehensive for any of the free platforms. Max noted a Google document could house the
survey and allow for a link to access. Ms. Hill offered to digitize the survey through Google.
Mr. Kupferman expressed his appreciation towards Richard Klein's efforts in handing out the
survey at Town Meeting. Student Representatives Max Nash, Lilly Lewis, and Fernanda Lima
helped distribute the surveys.
Race Amity Day
The Chair submitted a grant proposal to the Mashpee Cultural Council on time. Going beyond
the Race Amity Day concept, there are two groups in particular who demonstrate a music
mosaic within the performance groups from an international perspective, those are
Bongogenesis and Cadida Rose.
Human Rights Academy
There is a meeting on Thursday, and the Chair will follow up next time, she wants to see if
other teachers will be involved.
Cemetery Request
Mohamad Zefzaf sent his proposal via email, ultimately, he would like to bring a motion into
fruition. When a Muslim dies, they are either sent home to be buried, or a specific burial area
designated for Muslims, closest to here is Danvers. Other states have responded to this
growth by creating and dedicating a small portion of the cemetery to the burial of Muslim
citizens. He sent an email to Town Manager, Rodney Collins, along with an email to Imam Dr.
Bukhari, so far, no response.
Mr. Kupferman is hopeful his efforts will not be discouraged and end here due to a lack of
response. There are many players involved, there may be a Cemetery Commission or
someone from the DPW who he could talk to.
Ms. Hill is in support of what he is trying to achieve. She would suggest placing a call and
arranging a face-to-face meeting. Email has become an overwhelming form of communication
and very easy to push aside or forget. One pathway forward may involve the inclusion of
3
