Collins, Town Manager <br /> Dave called the meeting to order at 9:00 am. <br /> NEW HEARINGS <br /> 9:00 am Project Address: 19 Frank E. Hicks Drive <br /> Architect/Engineer: Kaestle Boos Associates (KBA) <br /> Agents: Sean Schmigle, Eric Roise, and Amy Moro <br /> Project: Construction of new Police Station and Auxiliary Building. Existing <br /> building will be demolished once new building is complete. <br /> Mr. Schmigle presented the plans to the Committee for the proposed construction of the <br /> new Police Station and Auxiliary Building. The existing building will be demolished once <br /> the new building is completed. The proposed new building will be 29,400 sq. ft. The lot <br /> size is 27.8 acres. <br /> Mr. Schmigle stated that the bid for general contractors will be sent out by mid-November. <br /> The general bids will be secured by the end of next year with an estimated start date by <br /> the spring. It will be approximately a 20-month project. <br /> Mr. Roise provided a power point presentation of the proposed building, site, and <br /> drainage plan. The existing building is situated close to the road, and they will secure as <br /> many existing trees as possible. The antenna will be relocated. The drainage plan <br /> depicted the underground system, and a drainage pond. There will be a maintenance <br /> auxiliary building that will provide storage for the harbormaster, and will also be the <br /> impound lot. The public parking will be situated in the front of the building, and the staff <br /> parking will be in the rear of the building. <br /> t <br />
