Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Plan Review Committee <br /> Tuesday, October 21, 2025 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Mr. Roise discussed the demo plan and mentioned that the existing building will remain <br /> standing as long as possible. The existing sally port will need to be demolished during <br /> construction, and will be rebuilt. The new driveway will be in the same area along with the <br /> existing gravel driveway. The driveway area located near the Boys and Girls Club will be <br /> closed off. <br /> The maintenance building foundation will be constructed, but the building itself will be <br /> budgeted for future construction. There is a proposed retaining wall that is approximately <br /> 6-7 ft. in height to help maintain the existing trees. <br /> The construction materials for the site will be an asphalt surface, a chain-link fence with <br /> concrete walkways around the foundation. There will be a fenced enclosure around the <br /> dumpster, and a generator. <br /> The proposed native plantings will be located in the rear of the building, and a buffer <br /> planting in the front. <br /> Mr. Roise reviewed the proposed interior floor plans with the Committee. The lower level <br /> will have a locker room and a fitness area. The main level will be patrol, dispatch, and <br /> training. The second floor will be the administrative offices and conference rooms. The <br /> cell tower will remain. The building will be solar ready with solar canopies in the rear. <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br /> Ms. Laurent asked the location of the Fire Department connection. Mr. Schmigle stated <br /> that the location is in the front corner of the building. The elevator is located behind the <br /> training meeting room in the front. <br /> Ms. Laurent had questions regarding the landscape plan. She asked if the drainage is <br /> underneath the concrete walkways, and that the ports are accessible from the parking lot. <br /> She asked what is proposed for the asphalt and if there will be 2 ft. stone strip. She asked <br /> for the details showing that transition from the edge of pavement. <br /> David Morris, Building Commissioner <br /> Mr. Morris asked if there will be an engineer representing the Town for peer review. <br /> Brian Tobin, Town Planner <br /> Mr. Tobin agreed that it would be beneficial to have peer review. <br /> Ms. Laurent mentioned the drainage was reviewed but not sure what storm event used. <br /> 2 <br />
