THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY UPDATE <br /> There was nothing official to report. The Friends had a small, informal <br /> meeting to brainstorm ideas, and will continue to develop their plans for this <br /> calendar year. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> The Library Director noted a $250.00 donation from a patron who was <br /> excited the library staff taught her how to use her tablet, which allowed her <br /> to obtain free eBooks, rather than spending money to buy them. <br /> Thank you cards for donations will be coordinated with the Corresponding <br /> Secretary to send on behalf of the Board. <br /> Trustee Education/ Work Session: Bylaw Update <br /> Article VI - Committees <br /> No changes need to be made. Board committees are created on an ad hoc <br /> basis as needed. <br /> Article VII — General <br /> Section 4: Shall be responsible for duties as assigned. <br /> The Sixth Edition will be edited with the 2026 date. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Vice ChairAnn Macdonald mentioned Southport's `Day in the Life' series. <br /> This would be a great opportunity forTrustee outreach. The proposed date <br /> is Monday, March 9t" at 11 :OOAM, or there could be another date proposed <br /> in May if that's better.
