of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road NOYth
wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
Roll Call Vote:
Karen Faulkner: Yes, Mike Millbury: Yes, Dale Oakley: Yes, Mary Waygan: Yes,
Dennis Balzarini: Yes
The Mylar was signed.
LCP Review and Update
Mr. Tobin is still awaiting feedback from the Historic District Commission about Chapter 6. He
will also send it to David Weeden, Historic Preservation Officer for the Wampanoag Tribe. It
was suggested he print out copies and deliver them.
Ms. Waygan reviewed the redlined version for Natural Resources, predominately done by Mr.
Oakley. She had one small note under Actions NR6, implement water quality improvement
measures and diagnostic study recommendations. N6 is crossed out, the implementation
started but it has multiyear steps. She would like to keep NR6, and add that the Santuit Pond
Diagnostic Study has been completed as well as the Mashpee Wakeby study. Action steps
would be to continue to implement. Otherwise, she noted this was very well done.
NEW BUSINESS
Townwide Traffic Study Discussion
Mr. Milbury spoke heavily on this topic and referenced the public comment of John Miller. The
focus here cannot be just on Trader Joes, the 40B off Jobs Fishing Road is going in, across
the street has been permitted for building, not to mention room for growth beyond Market
Street, with another project next to the Mobil station. In speaking with the Town Manager, there
may be some funding to perform this study, but we should also explore supplemental funding
as well.
MOTION:
Mr. Millbury made a motion for the Town Planner to proceed with pursuing a
Townwide Traffic Study. Seconded by Mr. Balzarini. All in favor.
Roll Call Vote:
Karen Faulkner: Yes, Mike Millbury: Yes, Dale Oakley: Yes, Mary Waygan: Yes,
Dennis Balzarini: Yes
Notice of Project Change: Mashpee Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan (WNMP) -
North Mashpee Wakeby Pond Regional Satellite Facility
The Planning Board received notice about this comment period ending on March 3, 2026 at
5:OOPM. For more information visit Mass.gov and click on MEPA Environmental Monitor. This
was a Notice of Project Change to the Town of Mashpee.
19
