MEETING MINUTES <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APEALS <br /> MARCH 25, 2026 <br /> Mr. Rodney Collins, Quinn's Way, Mashpee. There was a plan, and although there <br /> was a lot of communication there was an initial issue that was reviewed repeatedly <br /> with exhausting explanations as to what happened in terms of the outcome. Yes, <br /> there was a change in plans because of the litigation. In terms of what happened at <br /> Town Meeting, 365 people voted in favor, and 93 voted against it. At the ballot, <br /> 1,009 people voted in favor, and 315 voted against it. Those are undisputed facts. <br /> In addition, all the environmental concerns, whether well contamination or anything <br /> else, that will be addressed by the people with the requisite experience and <br /> qualifications to review that. The decision of this Board should stay within the <br /> Board's scope of its authority. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked Mr. Morris if he had any comments. Mr. Morris said that he is <br /> positive that this project is within the correct Board and should move on. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked for a motion to close the public hearing. Mr. Furbush so moved. <br /> Ms. Sangeleer second. All were in favor of closing the application. <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked for a motion for the application. <br /> Discussion requesting department comments <br /> Mr. Ganzenmuller read the Conservation Department comments dated March 19, <br /> 2026, into the record; "Staff reviewed plans and no work is proposed within the <br /> buffer zone to the vernal pool, no permit application is required at this time." <br /> Mr. Reidy read the Board of Health comments into the record dated March 19, 2026; <br /> Cluster System will be reviewed by the Massachusetts DEP and Local regulations will <br /> be added to comments to the DEP. <br /> Mr. Furbush read the Fire Chief, Mashpee Fire Department comments dated <br /> February 19, 2026, on records; I am writing this letter to convey that the Mashpee <br /> Fire Department has been meeting with the Town as well as the Town's engineering <br /> firm, GHD, Inc., to review the plans for the Mashpee Wakeby Cluster Treatment <br /> Facility. The plan for this facility either meets or exceeds our standards with respect <br /> to vehicle and facility access, alarms and notifications, and fire suppression. Further, <br /> we will be continuing to meet with the Town and GHD to ensure that all standard <br /> requirements are met. <br /> s <br />
