Selectman Weeden expressed support for <br /> Barbee, citing her consistent involvement, advocacy background, and work on the Local <br /> Comprehensive Plan, stating she has demonstrated fairness and the ability to collaborate. <br /> Selectman Cotton acknowledged Barbee's experience but noted that Cucinotta's <br /> nervousness should not be held against him and that his personal connection to the Housing <br /> Authority's impact was meaningful. Housing Authority Chair Jill Allen raised concerns <br /> about Barbee's multiple commitments but recognized her qualifications,while also noting <br /> the short-terrn nature of the appointment until the May election. Selectwoman Kelley- <br /> Wilson stated that both candidates were passionate and qualified, highlighting Barbee's <br /> experience and attendance. Richard Klein commented that many members successfully <br /> serve on multiple boards. Chair Wyman-Colombo observed that one candidate brought <br /> extensive experience and the other a new perspective. Motion carried. <br /> Following the vote, Selectman Cotton stated that these decisions are never easy and <br /> acknowledged the number of vacancies on to boards and committees. Selectman <br /> Cotton encouraged Michael Cucinotta to consider applying for another committee <br /> position and thanked the for their willingness to serve. Selectman Richardson also <br /> encouraged Michael Cucinotta to reach out to discuss other opportunities to serve on <br /> town boards or committees. <br /> 2.
