Gregory McKelvey, Candidate <br />The Select Board reviewed the letter of interest from Gregory McKelvey for the Mashpee <br />Representative position on the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates. McKelvey stated <br />that he is an active member of the Mashpee community, having served on the Finance <br />Committee and the Capital Improvement Program, and expressed interest in ensuring <br />Mashpee’s voice is represented on county issues such as a?ordable housing and budget <br />oversight. He highlighted his experience in budget review, collaboration, and respectful <br />dialogue, noting the importance of listening to and understanding diverse perspectives. <br />McKelvey confirmed that he has the time to participate in the Assembly, which meets twice <br />a month, and can report back to the Select Board and community. He noted he has been a <br />Mashpee resident since December 2010 and active in local government since 2013. <br /> Michael Morizio, Candidate <br />The Select Board reviewed the letter of interest from Michael Morizio for the Mashpee <br />Representative position on the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates. Morizio <br />expressed interest in giving back to the community. He highlighted his professional <br />experience managing large capital renewal and sustainability initiatives, including <br />residential and municipal construction projects, and emphasized his expertise in budget <br />management. He stated that he values hearing from all perspectives and being a <br />collaborative team player in service to the Town of Mashpee. Morizio confirmed he has the <br />time to participate in the Assembly. He has been a Mashpee resident since 2018 and has <br />participated in a limited number of town meetings, becoming involved primarily through <br />zoning matters. <br />Chair Wyman-Colombo called for nominations. <br />Nomination made by Selectman Cotton to elect Gregory McKelvey as Mashpee <br />Representative on the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates. <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
