<br />Select Board <br />March 9,2026 <br />Minutes <br /> <br />This article requests $428,000 from the Community Preservation Fund Historic <br />Preservation Reserve to support an exterior historic preservation project at 701 Great Neck <br />Road South, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee. <br />The project involves a comprehensive renovation of the exterior of one of the oldest homes <br />in Mashpee, which has been designated as historically significant by the Mashpee Historic <br />Commission. <br /> The intent is to preserve the structure’s historical character and ensure its long-term <br />integrity, with funding covering all associated project costs. The home will remain privately <br />owned and will not provide public access to the interior; however, a historical marker will <br />be installed on the property if the restoration is completed. <br />Article 20 <br />Arden Russell presented Article 20 to the Select Board. This article requests the <br />appropriation and transfer of funds from the FY 2027 Community Preservation Fund <br />Estimated Annual Revenues to the Community Preservation Committee’s Administrative <br />and Operating Expense Account. This funding will cover the Committee’s annual <br />administrative and operational costs, including legal and professional fees, technical <br />reviews, appraisals, signage, o?ice supplies, wages, and other expenses directly related to <br />managing and supporting CPA projects, as allowed under M.G.L. Chapter 44B, §5. <br />Select Board Declaration of State of Emergency due to Winter Storm Hernando <br />The Town Manager requested that the Select Board declare a State of Emergency to enable <br />the Town to seek reimbursement for applicable expenses. <br />Motion made by Selectman Richardson to declare a state of emergency due to Winter <br />Strom Hernando. <br />Motion seconded by Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson. <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />12 <br /> <br /> <br />
