Wyman-Colombo at 6:00 p.m.
Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room
Opening
Pledge of Allegiance
PUBLIC COMMENT FOR CURRENT AGENDA ITEMS
Jewel Blake-Mary (709 Great Neck Road South, abutter to the Amos House) expressed
concerns about the CPC proposal, noting that while it is described as a historical
renovation, plans appear to include modifications such as additional residential units and
possible commercial use. She stated that no clear final plan has been presented and
raised concerns about zoning changes, increased parking, and utility modifications. She
also questioned oversight of future tenants and expressed concern that a shift toward
commercial use could negatively impact neighboring property values, suggesting the
proposal may prioritize development over preservation.
Sharon Muller (693 Great Neck Road South, abutter to the Amos House) stated she
supports preserving the historic structure but is concerned about using significant public
funds for the project. She suggested alternative solutions, including potential town
involvement in purchasing or preserving the property. She also expressed concern about
possible commercial use of the site, citing existing activity on the property and its proximity
to other developed areas, and urged consideration of options that maintain the property’s
historical character without expanding commercial zoning.
1
