<br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />April 6,2026 <br /> <br />Opportunities Group, Inc. maintains weekly o?ice hours every Thursday and has been a <br />positive partner to work with. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to recommend the Town Manager and Select Board <br />authorize Award of FY 2025 CDBG Grant Administration Contract to Community <br />Opportunities Group, Inc. contingent upon successful contract negotiations and <br />approval by the EOHLC as required by the RFP/Q. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br />Vote: 5-0 Unanimous <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes <br />Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson-yes <br />Selectman Richardson- yes <br />Presentation by Cape & Islands Bridges Coalition <br />Paul Niedzwiecki, CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and Co-Chair of the Cape <br />& Islands Bridges Coalition (CIBC), provided an overview of the planned replacement of the <br />Sagamore and Bourne Bridges, which connect Cape Cod to the mainland and are nearly 90 <br />years old. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recommended replacement in 2020. A <br />Memorandum of Agreement was signed in October 2024, and further evaluation was <br />recommended in March 2025. Funding is currently in place for the Sagamore Bridge, with <br />work expected to begin in late 2025 and construction likely starting in 2027. However, <br />funding has not yet been secured for the Bourne Bridge. The total estimated cost to replace <br />both bridges is $4.5 billion, and the environmental review process is ongoing. <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
