The existing approximately 4.5 acre developed portion of the property is <br />nearing capacity. Construction of several new sections within the 17-acre property is proposed. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 5-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 6 by a vote of 7-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member Weeden <br /> <br />Motion: I move the Town vote to approve Article 6 as printed in the warrant, with the <br />exception of the phrase “or take any other action relating thereto.” <br /> <br />Motion passes 361 to 41 at 7:41PM <br /> <br /> <br />Article 7 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer pursuant to the provisions of M.G.L. <br />Chapter 44B, §6 to reserve from the Community Preservation Fund Budget for Appropriation <br />Reserve, the following amounts: <br /> <br /> $1,144 10% Open Space/Recreation Purposes <br /> $1,144 10% Historic Purposes <br /> $1,144 10% Affordable Housing Purposes <br /> <br />or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> <br />Explanation: This is a “cleanup” article to meet the requirement of reserving funds from the CPA <br />FY 2026 Trust Fund distribution. The amount of the FY 2026 state reimbursement received by <br />the Town of Mashpee was higher than the initial estimate. The CPC is required to set aside 10% <br />of those excess funds and deposit them into each of the CPA 10% reserves.
