Motion passes 377 to 37 at 7:42PM <br /> <br /> <br />Article 8 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation Fund <br />Budget for Affordable Housing Reserve in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 44B, <br />§5, the sum of $9,235 for the purpose of funding the Barnstable County Shared Regional Housing <br />Services including necessary costs and expenses related thereto, as recommended by the <br />Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> <br />Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> <br />Explanation: The goal of this application is to obtain funding for the Town of Mashpee to <br />continue participation in the Barnstable County Shared Regional Housing Program. The Program <br />has produced and made available a number of affordable housing related resources in addition to <br />bi-weekly office hours to meet with consultants. As a program participant, the Town may avail <br />itself of additional services, depending upon the Town's needs. Program participation will assist <br />with advancing affordable housing initiatives in Mashpee. <br /> <br />The Community Preservation Committee recommends approval of Article 8 by a vote of 8-0. <br /> <br />The Select Board recommends approval of Article 8 by a vote of 5-0 <br />The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article 8 by a vote of 6-0 <br /> <br />Motion made by Select Board Member Wilson <br /> <br />Motion: I move the Town vote to approve Article 8 as printed in the warrant, with the <br />exception of the phrase “or take any other action relating thereto.” <br /> <br />Motion passes 349 to 39 at 7:43PM <br /> <br /> <br />Article 9 <br /> <br />To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community Preservation Fund <br />Open Space and Recreation Reserve, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 44B, <br />§5, the sum of $135,000 for the purpose of funding the KC Coombs Preschool Playground <br />resurfacing, located at 152 Old Barnstable Road, including all necessary costs and expenses related <br />thereto, as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action <br />relating thereto. <br /> <br />Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br /> <br />Explanation: The goal of this project is to replace the existing surfacing for the preschool <br />playground at the KC Coombs School in order to support its continued use as a therapeutic <br /> <br />
