Seconded by Dan Kupferman. All in favor. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> None. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Column <br /> The Chairthanked Wendy Bornstein for her submission of the Decembercolumn, celebrating <br /> the Jewish community. The Hanukkah and Christmas topics are appropriate for this time of <br /> year. The January column is being written on race by a female African American, Matila Ligon. <br /> The Chair is seeking someone willing to write about physical appearance and judgments about <br /> appearance. She noted the most bullied demographic in our schools are those who are <br /> overweight. This is a topic worth exploring. Max Nash volunteered to write the column for <br /> March. Ms. Stevenson is hopeful of finding someone from Heroes in Transition to write about <br /> veterans for the April column. <br /> Brochure Dispersal <br /> The brochure is complete and printed. The total cost was $300,00 for 500 copies. Mr. Fand <br /> was thanked for his efforts in editing and getting the document ready for the printer. <br /> Brochure Locations: <br /> Post Office, Town Hall, Chamber of Commerce, Public Library, all the schools, the Mashpee <br /> food pantry, New Seabury, local grocery stores, the Senior Center, local churches, realtors, <br /> and the Tribal Center. <br /> Survey <br /> "What's Happening Wednesday" is a weekly segment sent out by the school to parents about <br /> the latest school news. Through that, the survey was offered to parents, additionally, the high <br /> school is offering it to students. <br /> Ms. Stevenson would like to target complexes like Windchime, Southport, and New Seabury. <br /> There were 27 electronic submissions so far. Mr. Kupferman has summarized findings, but in <br /> February he will be able to report on the conclusion of the survey once it has closed at the end <br /> of January. <br /> Race Amity Day <br /> RAD is taking place on the second Sunday in June, June 14t". MIDC was granted $400.00 <br /> from the Mashpee Cultural Council. This year, we are exploring a more international route. This <br /> 2 <br />
