IMP. She gave more to
Southport, who ran out quickly.
Survey
This is the main agenda item for March, Mr. Kupferman will be running the meeting. Survey
results will be revealed and discussed, as well as identifying some future goals and where we
go from here.
Race Amity Day
This will be an agenda item for March. There is a Zoom meeting tomorrow for the RAD
subcommittee. Mr. Kupferman will forward the invitation to members.
Human Rights Club
The Chair will have the students follow up with this, she has not heard back from anyone at the
school. One of the setbacks that a student shared was there being no late bus, which has
since been introduced, she would like an update on if that improved participation.
Cemetery Request
Mr. Zefzaf informed the Committee that Ramadan starts tomorrow. After fasting, it teaches you
to empathize with the poor and then hopefully make a local donation. The Muslim world is
huge, with different foods representing different regions, so people breakfast with different
meals, but he particularly enjoys a Moroccan soup, then they may have a sweet, like a date.
Tribal Representative
Having Tribal representation on this Committee is a requirement from the Select Board. Amy
Peters is here today to hopefully fill this position going forward.
Ms. Peters currently serves on the Cape and Island Commission for the Status of Women, that
predominately advocates for women's issues. They have high school students who are putting
together a committee for girls. One project they are currently trying to launch into the
community and schools is about period poverty.
New Member
Amy Peters and Nawal Macedo are both present and interested in representing this
Committee in some capacity.
NEW BUSINESS
Town Report
2
