IMP. IMBO
d"fr,,{ynr,fw VhP.
w Mashpee lncCusion and'Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck RoadNorth
Msshyee, M-A 0264.9
Ms. Landry stated we should publicize hosting an educational forum. For example, a speaker
at the Public Library, Council on Aging, or even outside on a nice evening.
Amy Peters asked about events already being hosted that this Committee could attend with a
table. Ms. Landry noted MIDC had a table at the National Night Out.
Max Nash stated our communications need to expand with more social media presence, like
Instagram.
Ms. Landry also added some of the topics on the agenda have remained the same for months.
She noted the need to redefine the Committee's goals.
Mr. Zefzaf suggested using the Friendship Festival to get the buzz out and see what people
want to hear or discuss.
Ms. Peters commented this Committee is on the right track with how to engage the community
further. She is interested in events that are already going on. For example, the Cape Cod
International Women's Breakfast is put on by different foundations, bringing together 40 tables
of different community resources, all who service women/girls and things women on Cape Cod
need. She would like to meet people where they are at, at these events.
Mr. Kupferman is in support, but it takes the entire Committee to say yes to tabling two events
each a year. Ideally, we would have to attend at least 12 events a year. We can both attend
and host, but it requires commitment. We would need additional time other than these regular
meetings to coordinate.
Ms. Peters would like more visibility at the Tribal events within the Tribal community. She asked
about obtaining a list of volunteers that align with whatwe are working on.
NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 @ 5:OOPM
ADJOURNMENT
MOTION:
Richard Klein made a motion to adjourn the meeting of the Mashpee Inclusion
and Diversity Committee at 5:56PM. Seconded by Mohamad Zefzaf. All in favor.
5
