<br />FINCOM-Regular Session <br />March 12,2026 <br /> <br />The article concerns a historic property at 701 Great Neck Road South. CPC <br />had approved the request (7–2) for exterior restoration funding after scaling back <br />the original proposal. Discussion focused on whether the public benefit outweighed <br />the private benefit, with consideration given to the property’s visibility, historical <br />significance, and the limited number of historic structures in Mashpee. It was noted <br />that restrictions would remain in place to preserve the building’s historical <br />character. <br />The Finance Committee reviewed the Annual Town Warrant articles and took the <br />following actions: <br />Article 1, To accept the reports of the Town Officers. <br />Motion made by Richard Weiner to recommend Article 1. <br />Motion seconded by Greg McKelvey. <br />Vote:6-0. <br />Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br />Article 2, Appropriate, raise, and or transfer a sum of money to defray the <br />Town's expenses for FY2027 budget. <br />Motion made by Anne Schnader to recommend Article 2. <br />Motion seconded by Richard Weiner. <br />Vote:6-0 <br />Motion passed by unanimous vote. <br />Article 3, Appropriate & transfer from available funds to Capital Accounts <br />Motion made by Greg McKelvey to recommend Article 3. <br />Motion seconded by Keith Machado <br />Vote:5-1 <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
