of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road North
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
Mr. Dibb stated the basin is designed to drain out in three days, but it can have trees in it. He
will have to double check to make sure of the specific type, but it could also be shifted
outside, they can certainly review that.
Ms. Christy noted as long as the species is appropriate, she does not have a problem with it.
Mr. Buccino commented the Eastern White Cedar and the Black Tupelo are two species that
love the water. There is a Tupelo in Falmouth that is his favorite tree, after every rainstorm the
tree is in standing water and does well.
Ms. Faulkner asked about a gabion wall and how high it sits from the top to the bottom.
Mr. Dibb stated a gabion wall is a square welded wire mesh basket filled with stone to create
the retainage. It runs along the right side of the plan and varies between 4-5ft. tall on the
slope.
Mr. Buccino elaborated you can fill with native washed stone, beach cobblers, or glacial
material, and they are attractive.
Mr. Hansen referenced the overhead lighting being hard to make out. There is a lack of
lighting on Rt. 28 along the sidewalk going towards the building, and they discussed they
would look at that. He would like to identify where the overhead poles are.
Ms. Waygan also stated a 25ft. height waiver is proposed.
Mr. Dibb answered there is lighting at the location for the curb cut right in and out, on the left
side, as well as on the other side as you enter. As you enter the driveway there are wall packs
on the building, there are two in addition to lighting in the parking area. All the blue notations,
the extra 5ft. of height allows a little more spread from these fixtures and can limit the overall
number of fixtures needed on a property like this. It is double head, allowed to cast both ways.
For example, if the poles were 20ft. they might need an additional row of lights.
Mr. Hansen asked about C104, pertaining to the retaining wall on the north side by the
FCFCU bank. The wall ranges in height from Oft. to 6ft., with an 8ft. gap a third of the way up.
He asked about the gap.
Mr. Dibb stated there is a place where the parking lot is low and the wall goes up, that area
grade is level so a wall is not necessary in that gap.
Mr. Tobin wants the applicant to walk through the spillover provisions in the photometric
analysis plan, and why they are seeking the proposed waiver of 25ft. opposed to 20ft.
6
