of TMs s,s <br /> z. <br /> Aannin Board <br /> c� <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> .wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649 <br /> Request: Special Permit Application to install a new Personal Wireless <br /> Service Facility including a 130-doot tall monopole towel and <br /> associated ground equipment pursuant to Sections 174-24(C), 174- <br /> 45.3 and other applicable sections of the Mashpee Zoning Bylaws. <br /> Attorney Michael Giaimo is present this evening along with Jessica Bardi from Robinson + <br /> Cole, on behalf of the applicant. Keith Vellante, engineer with C Squared Systems, LLC is also <br /> present for this project. <br /> Mr. Giaimo stated the proposed tower's location is at their existing landline facility, but this <br /> project requires a special permit pursuant to the Town's bylaw. This application was filed on <br /> October 22nd and was referred to the Cape Cod Commission on November 5t", where it was <br /> reviewed. They retained a wireless consultant, who issued 2 reports, which confirmed the <br /> coverage gap on the Verizon network. The proposed 130ft. pole would close that gap. Those <br /> reports were recently submitted. The applicant then met with Plan Review on March 17t", then <br /> the Commission approved their piece on March 19t" under a DRI and was recorded with the <br /> Barnstable Registry of Deeds. <br /> Jessica Bardi showed the Site Plan on the overhead as an aerial view, showing the existing <br /> building and a small parking area. The monopole is fenced within a 50 ft. enclosure with the <br /> electrical access box. Leading to the pole is a short driveway of unpaved gravel. The facility <br /> initially proposed at 150ft, but during the pre-application discussion, the applicant reduced the <br /> height to 130ft. and moved it closer to the building, further away from the woods, where it is <br /> proposed now. <br /> Mr. Giaimo stated dash lines on the plan show where equipment could be placed if needed. <br /> There is grading coming off the southeast corner of the property where there is a 150ft. <br /> wetland buffer. The applicant did seek Conservation approval and grading approval. The <br /> antenna and utility rack account for a battery and computer equipment. The future lease area <br /> is for another company, like T-Mobile, who would come and use this pole with their equipment. <br /> Mr. Balzarini would like to know about hazardous materials, because of the batteries on site. <br /> It was answered the metal cabinet is bolted to the concrete pad housing the battery with <br /> shelving for other radio equipment, about 37in. X 37in. and secured with a lock. Another carrier <br /> would have its own batteries. It is not hazardous to the environment nor does it house <br /> hazardous materials inside. <br /> Ms. Waygan inquired about another carrier needing to come before this Board for another <br /> modification. There is federal law and we would follow those procedures. Ms. Waygan will <br /> have them come back. <br /> 2 <br />
