of TMs s,s <br /> z. <br /> Aannin Board <br /> c� <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> .wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649 <br /> Mr. Vellante answered when looking at the basic 4G network, that is deployed over multiple <br /> bands, the basic fundamental backbone frequency is 700-850MHz for cellular devices, it <br /> travels the most distance. 2100MHz is used for speed and capacity, supporting heavy data <br /> and fast downloads. Maps C and D show present challenges with capacity, and usage cant <br /> currently support sites as there is too much demand to keep up with. They serve 975 residents <br /> as well as the traffic counts. <br /> Mr. Tobin asked if the areas are all relative to Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Vellante answered that the users in green primarily use the new site. In the southern <br /> portion on Route 28, they would get picked up by the other Mashpee site. Red does not <br /> indicate no coverage, it just means it is closer to the Industrial Drive site, thus communicating <br /> with that pole. Load distribution was explained. <br /> The coverage areas presented are irregular, so it is helpful for the map to accompany showing <br /> why/how areas are covered. The 2100MHz gaps are more pronounced because the frequency <br /> band doesn't cover that well. <br /> Mr. Hansen asked about 5G coverage. In lieu of a 130ft. tower, if they were to install a 5G cell <br /> tower in this location instead, what is the effect or benefit? <br /> Mr. Vellante answered they are presenting 4G service, yes Verizon also has 5G services over <br /> multiple bands, but coverage range isn't as robust as what shows on 4G maps. There are <br /> ways to intermingle the frequency bands. 5G supports higher data speeds of wireless <br /> technology in general. The coverage area is limited to what it is serviced by. <br /> Ms. Faulkner noted some aspects of concern and asked for further explanation on the height <br /> exceeding limits, unless camouflaged. Ms. Waygan then inquired if these were zoning analysis <br /> that went through the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> Mr. Vellante answered they are more like zoning standards. The Commission has technical <br /> bulletins that establish standards used when reviewing new applications. <br /> Mr. Tobin noted for clarity purposes, Ms. Faulkner was referencing the applicant's analysis, in <br /> response to the Commission's technical bulletins. <br /> Ms. Waygan commented that this standard doesn't mean it cannot be approved if something <br /> wasn't met. She referenced Section 2, and the analysis against technical policy. <br /> Mr. Vellante advised them this requirement is not good, as it is impossible to operate wireless <br /> coverage unless positioned above the tree line. <br /> 5 <br />
