of TMs s,s
z.
Aannin Board
c
16 Great Neck Road North
.wlashpee, Aassachusetts 02649
NEW BUSINESS
Cranberry Point Annual Bedroom Certification
Jack McElhinney is present this evening to provide updated bedroom counts for the approved
Cranberry Point decision from April. The Board required a condition to annually certify where
they are on bedroom count. The 958 count included the 60 bedrooms allocated for what was
then 13 vacant lots. They are currently building 5 of those 13 vacant lots, with two under
construction to be completed this year. Beyond that, there is no change.
CHAIRS REPORT
Rob Hansen was welcomed to the Board this evening as an official voting member after being
the associate member for many years.
There is an Associate Member vacancy. The Town Clerk will post the vacancy. The Chair noted
the Board convenes, votes yes for the vacancy, then a notice is sent to the Select Bord, and
after at least a week, a joint meeting between the Select Board and Planning Board is held to
appoint an associate. If you are a Mashpee resident and registered to vote, you can apply for
that position.
TOWN PLANNER REPORT
Verizon Monopole
Verizon's next hearing is 6/3/2026.
Mashpee Dredging Project Chapter 91
This is a town-wide plan to re-dredge what has been previously dredged. The plan is available
online, with more information through the Harbor Master and Conservation Department.
EOED Community One Stop Grant Letter
Mr. Tobin submitted a grant application for a One Stop Grant traffic study, that has been
discussed for a town wide traffic study. The focus will be primarily be on Route 28 in the area
from Shellback Way to the Mashpee Rotary for the first phase. This will be before the Select
Board on 6/1, for a letter of support to add to the application. The draft letter is in the packet
with a request for this Board's support as well. This will be a comprehensive study sponsored
by the Town and it would create a finding to have a local engineer come up with schematics
and management in that area, or strategies.
Mr. Milbury stated the speed limit of 50MPH may be something to look into.
23
