Affordable Housing Committee 16 Great Neck Road North Mashpee, MA 02649 Affordable Housing Committee Minutes of Meeting Tuesday, May 05, 2026 at 6:30PM Mashpee Town Hall - Waquoit Meeting Room 16 Great Neck Road North Mashpee, Ma 02649 APPROVED: 06/02/2026 Present: Chairman Michael Sparkes, Jerry Tutor, Dick Putterman, Sharon Muller, Absent: Denise Geoffrion Also Present: Cearra O’Hern – The Mashpee Enterprise, Alexis Lanzillotta – Barrett Planning, Laura Shufelt – Senior Advisor /Real Estate Development Officer with Mass Housing Partnership, Brian Tobin- Mashpee Town Planner CALL TO ORDER Chairman Michael Sparkes called the meeting of the Affordable Housing Committee to order at 6:30PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, followed by a moment of silence. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – April 07, 2025 Chairman Sparkes noted a typo. MOTION: Jerry Tutor made a motion to accept the meeting minutes for April 07,2026 as amended. Seconded by Dick Putterman. All in favor. NEW BUSINESS Presentation from and Discussion with Mass Housing Partnership Town Planner Brian Tobin is very excited to introduce Laura Shufelt from Mass Housing Partnership, who has over 30 years’ experience. This final presentation wraps up the unique opportunity the members of this Committee had to be able to learn from the experts in the affordable housing arena for the Commonwealth. As a recap, the Affordable Housing Committee had the pleasure of hearing from Alexis Lanzilotta from Barrett Consulting, who informed the Committee about the state’s SHI. We had a regional perspective from Reenie Hammond with the Barnstable County HOME Consortium and Erin Perry with the Cape Cod Commission. We heard from David Quinn from HAC and Cory Fellows with POAH, as well as Noreen Brown with Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Shufelt is 1
