Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> t <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> outstanding enforcement orders exist for the facility and that the proposed development would <br /> represent only a small increase in plant flow well within existing treatment capacity. <br /> Town Manager Collins clarified that Chapter 108 expressly applies to properties served by both <br /> private and public wastewater systems and reiterated concerns regarding the potential impact of <br /> the variance on the Town's wastewater management program and financing requirements. Sewer <br /> Department staff discussed recent correspondence received from MassDEP regarding the <br /> proposed nitrogen mitigation measures and possible future agreements needed to incorporate any <br /> nitrogen reductions into the Town's wastewater planning framework. Staff indicated that <br /> additional legal and regulatory questions remain under review. <br /> Continuation of Hearing <br /> Following discussion, the Commission determined that additional information and legal review <br /> were needed before taking action on the variance request.
