<br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />July 13,2026 <br /> <br />Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Review of Draft #1 of the October 2026 Annual Town Meeting Warrant <br />The Town Manager stated that the deadline for the draft warrant was today and that the item <br />was provided to the Select Board as soon as possible for review. The Board agreed to table <br />the agenda item until the next meeting. <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />(This space is reserved for topics that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate would be <br />discussed) <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo provided an update from the Council on Aging, announcing <br />a renaming open house scheduled for this upcoming Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. <br />WATER QUALITY UPDATES <br />Chair Cotton shared an update regarding Johns Pond and echoed Sue Dangle’s comments <br />on the recent jet ski improvements. Cotton noted that there may have been some jet skis <br />moving toward the Johns Pond area and commended the Harbormaster, the Town of <br />Mashpee, and the Town of Sandwich for their e?orts. <br />Selectwoman Kelley-Wilson highlighted an upcoming water quality discussion scheduled <br />for July 21 at 6:00 PM at the Mashpee Public Library. The event will provide updates on pond <br />conditions, monitoring e?orts, and long-term sustainability plans for Johns Pond, Mashpee- <br />Wakeby Pond, Ashumet Pond, and other water bodies. She also discussed creating <br />informational materials on ways residents can help protect Mashpee’s waters, including <br />outreach to short-term rental property owners. The Town Manager suggested coordinating <br />with the Town’s inspection process to distribute informational materials during property <br />inspections. Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo added that the information could potentially <br />be included with regular tax bill mailings as a cost-e?ective way to reach residents. <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
