It was noted that examples are now for three-year plans instead of five-year plans. The Library <br /> Director said this was becoming more common because of the uncertainty of making plans for <br /> five years in the future. While we invest time into making these long-term plans, but we also <br /> need to consider the federal funding cuts and many towns seeking overrides this year. Future <br /> goals that may be identified in a strategic plan will be dependent on the funding and resources <br /> available to achieve them. <br /> CHAIR'S REPORT <br /> Chair Geatrakas stated the Board will reorganize at the June meeting, so she encouraged <br /> members to think about nominations for Chair, Vice Chair, Friends Liaison, and Corresponding <br /> Secretary. <br /> The Friends of the Library meet roughly six times per year, usually the Wednesday following <br /> the Trustees meeting, around 3:30PM at the library or someone's home. <br /> The Chair welcomed new Trustee, Lisa Merritt. We are happy to have her, and she is looking <br /> forward to working alongside everyone. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION: <br /> Mary LeClair made a motion to adjourn the meeting of the Library Trustees at <br /> 6:52PM.
