Minutes of Combined Meeting of ✓ c Mashpee Design Review Committee and Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 Design Review Members Present: Tom O'Hara, David Kooharian, and Jonathan Furbush (filling in for Bob Nelson). Plan Review Members Present: Charlie Maintanis, Local Inspector Sheldon Hamblin, Deputy Fire Chief Tom Fudala, Town Planner Scott Carline, Police Department Also Present: Joel Clifford, Fire Inspector Audience: Michael Richardson – Board of Selectmen Charlie Maintanis called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. Classics First 78 Industrial Drive, Unit#1 Alan & Isabel Morra Wholesale and storage of Classic Cars Alan Morra appeared. Tom Fudala stated this application is filed as a modification of Special Permit. The Planning Board Public Hearing is scheduled for January 5 so this is the official meeting of this group to make recommendations to the-Planning_Board.-Highlights-of the-review are. • Mr. Morra said he wants to change the unit appearance back as it was approved in 2005. Unit 1 by itself rather than combined with Unit 2. • He wants to replace interior wall between Unit 1 and 2; also some interior walls to come out where they have a conference room, etc. • Mr. Morra primarily needs place to conduct his antique/classic car wholesaler business. • Mr. Morra said he is confused about some of the previous uses of the space. • He buys cars restored and ready to go. He does not do any of the work—he farms work out. • Sheldon asked Charlie Maintanis what the current use group is for the unit. Charlie said he thought current use group is either S-1 or 2. • Mr. Morra said stored vehicles will have full gas tank—each vehicle has approximately 20 gallon tank. He plans to store 4-5 cars at the maximum. He said probably no more than 4. • Charlie read Glen Harrington's comments into the record...copy of Glen's comments attached to the printed set of these minutes. • Mr. Morra said he wants to replace the window wall with an overhead door. Sheldon said that doesn't count as a pass door.
