MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> MARCH 8, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7 :OOPM <br /> Finance Committee Members Present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Denise <br /> Sullivan; Roger Dunivan; Tony Gallo; John Ferriday and Marcia King. <br /> Deirdre Greelish was unable to attend. <br /> Board of Selectmen Present: Jim Vaccaro, Chairman; Nancy Caffyn; <br /> George Costa and Judy Mills. <br /> Robert Whritenour, Executive Secretary, and Diane Rommelmeyer, Town <br /> Accountant, were also in attendance. <br /> Please note for the record that this meeting was taped by the Board <br /> of Selectmen's recording secretary only. <br /> Due to copying requests, the recording secretary entered the <br /> meeting at 7:15PM and the discussion of Departmental Budgets was <br /> already in progress. <br /> The Finance Committee and the Board of Selectmen agreed to go <br /> through the budgets and discuss where there were any discrepancies <br /> between the Selectmen's recommendations and the Finance Committee's <br /> future recommendations. <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> Mr. Goggin had questioned the Selectmen about their funding of <br /> $7,500 for the Economic Development Committee. Mr. Dunivan also <br /> . asked what ideas the Committee has given ideas to the Selectmen. <br /> Ms. Mills answered that she was partly to blame for the lack of <br /> activity because she had asked the Economic Development Committee <br /> to put certain ideas on hold, until the responsibilities of the new <br /> Assistant Town Planner were decided on. <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE EXPENSES <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that the Finance Committee does need money for <br /> certain expenses that they would like to incur. Mr. Goggin stated <br /> that he thought it would be worth while to keep the voters informed <br /> of the Town's financial matters. Ms. Caffyn asked how the Finance <br /> Committee arrived at the amount of $10,000? Mr. Goggin stated that <br /> this was just an estimate and that even $5,000 would be a great <br /> help. Ms. King stated that the Finance Committee had estimated <br /> there would be two mailings. Mr. Vaccaro stated that they would <br /> come back to this issue. <br /> TOWN ACCOUNTANT <br /> Mr. Goggin asked the difference between what is requested by this <br />
